I chose to do my French Culture Project on Auguste Rodin because, I really like looking at others peoples sculptures and artwork even if I cant draw myself, I think its interesting looking at others creations. I mainly know Auguste Rodin for his sculpture The Thinker. I thought it was cool looking when it comes to life in the movie scene of Night at the Museum. Auguste Rodin was a French sculpture. His birth name is François-Auguste-René Rodin, and he was born on November 12, 1840 in Paris, France and dies on November 17, 1917 a the age of 77. His most well-known art piece is the Thinker which was originally named 'The Poet' , it is a bronze sculpture that is usually on a stone pedestal. It shows a man in deep concentration, that is often represented as a philosopher.
