I was very interested in many piano pieces that were composed in Europe. It was difficult to chose a French pianist at first since so much of the music was beautifully composed. But Erik Satie was a composer of one of my most favorite piano pieces to learn back during my lessons. Gymnopédie No. 1 Composed by Erik SatieOne of my favorite songs composed by Satie, which was published in Paris in 1888 with two other compositions. Definitely one of his most well known pieces. His music is just speechless like many other composers, and I cannot find the right words to explain this song. Biography of Satie
This is a biography of Erik Satie on the Biography Channel's website. There isn't much information of his life, but there is information of his birth and death dates, where he lived and how he became to be. All of the simple information that you would usually find on most past famous people. All About Erik and His MusicI find Erik Satie is only well known for his pieces, but not for he himself since I barely see a lot of information about this composer, which isn't very helpful in this situation. But this website does give you more the information of his life in the biography section. There are also a list of his compositions on the compositions tag. If you click on any of his compositions, there will be very detailed descriptions of how he composed that one particular song that you click to see. Like I said earlier, not much information can be found on him, but only his music. Or maybe it's because his music is the thing that describes him.

I am a fan of the piano and I really want to learn piano, so I was quite interested in your project. Gymnopédie No. 1 is a beautiful, slow-paced song. The song feels a little heavy with the low tone of the piece, but I like it. I had never heard of this song or of him before. I found it cool that when I had done a poetry project in one of my previous years, the poet I had researched also made his break in the 19th century's Romantic Era. I looked through some of his compositions and searched up the audio elsewhere. His songs are quite simple and long, but strangely breathtaking.

I am currently learning how to play the piano so I found your project really interesting. I really loved the Gymnopédie No. 1 piece a lot. It was so beautiful that I might even down load it on my IPhone. I read the bio that was on here and I was sad to learn that he died at the young age of 59. I was amazed that he wrote so many compositions of all different styles. I really liked this project.

Wow, that song you posted is simply beautiful! It's so captivating. Thank you so much for sharing it!! I had never heard of Satie, but have heard of Debussy. Debussy is mentioned on more than one page that you've offered us here, so I'm wondering if you're familiar with his work as well. Merci beaucoup!!

I like how you did a topic you could really relate to. It is well shown that you got into what you were typing & I liked learning more. The song was very beautiful & I wish you luck on your piano playing. (Maybe you can learn to play a K-pop song >.> Or maybe you already know how haha)
