Martin Fourcade
Before I site my sources and give websites on my Français Biathlete, I’m going to talk about his life and talk a little bit about him.
Martin Forcade has proudly won two Gold medals in Men Biathlon in Sochi this year so far. Besides from biathlons he has many hobbies he enjoys hokey, judo, swimming, cycling, and windsurfing. He actually was involved in these sports before he decided to become what he is today. He wanted to follow in the steps of his older brother and decided to become a biathlete.
His close family includes his partner Helene. His Coach is Stephane Bouthiaux [ national]. Siegfried Mazet [national shooting] (FRA) He has competed in cross country skiing at World Cup Level. So far he has had two major injuries which include him dislocating his right shoulder in December in a fall in Germany. In October he fell of roller skis and fractured his left shoulder during a training session in France.
His big debut was in for France World Cup. He knows three languages including English, Spanish, and French. Some of his sporting relatives are his older brother Simon Fourcade who also represents France in biathlons. His occupations include Athlete as well as Armed forces. His ambition is to win gold in 2014 Sochi which he did.
His reason to take up biathlon was to follow in his older brothers foots steps. He took up this passion at the age of ten.
Sites On Martin Fourcade
Sochi.Ru
www.sochi2014.com/en/athlete-martin-fourcade
This website has stuff all about Sochi and the people participating in it. This is the site where I got most of my info. Not only does it tell you his basic status like age, weight, height, event, exc …, but it will tell you a lot of personal information that can ultimately be fun and interesting facts about his whole career. This website shows progress in these Olympics as well as other events and Olympics he’s been in. On his page you will find the most recent news posts and updates regarding him, his career and things he is doing.

This website is completely in French which I thought it was cool. Although it doesn’t say much about him it gets a lot of news from Esprit Bleu and happens to have a couple articles on Martin Fourcade I thought this was cool because it’s French and approaches the Olympics specifically on the French Olympic team.
IBU (International Biathlon Union)

This website specifically focuses on press releases on Martin Fourcade and basic information like same old Sport, Biography, Equipment, and Personal Data. It has posted a lot of things on not only him but also events involving his sport, Biathlon.
Wikipedia
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martin_Fourcade
Although it is not always reliable I still find this the most interesting and informal on Fourcade. This website isn’t just his status it has his life, family, and career along with many other interesting information on him. This by far has the most information but the least on resent Sochi news.
My Recommendations
Wiki
I recommend this to someone who wants to know full biography on his life and career. It shares lots of information and most likely is accurate.
Sochi.Ru
I believe this is the most accurate of the four and has the most news, recent info, and basic bio and information (besides wiki). I recommend this to people who want to know about him and what is happening with him in Sochi and possibly other events he has been in.
BMFTV.com
Honestly I just thought that this was a cool French news website that has reports on France in Sochi. Whether somebody wants to enjoy the experience of reading in French, or just use Google translate to read the reports. IBU.com
This website is very basic of them all. I recommend this for people only wanting to know his status, and his event history.
