The History of French Pastries
This is a essay about how and when certain french pastries were created. I chose to do an essay about this because when I went to France there were all these different kinds desserts, made in ways I wouldn’t even think of. They all seemed so good and unique I wanted to learn more about them.
Macaroons first came to france in 1533 when King henries, wifes chef Catherine de medici was searching refuge in a asylum during the French revolution. Her two nuns, sister marguerite and sister Marie-Elisabeth, made and sold macaroons to be able to pay for their housing.
This link is about where the original macaroons came from, and other information about macaroons.

The tart a popular french dessert, was actually a accident because instead of putting the the crust on the bottom of a pie, she forgot to, and accidently put the filling in first. She was in a rush so she just decide to put it on the top, and then turn it over.
