Jean-Francois Lyotard was a French philosopher that was born in the 1920s and died in the late 1990s. BiographyLyotard was born in Versaille, France, and was a philosopher, sociologist, and a literary theorist. He was also a co-founder of the International College of Philosophy. His life didn't end very well, and he died because of leukemia. There's much more in this biography about Jean-Francois Lyotard. Lyotard's Postmodern ConditionThis is a video of Lyotard defining the meaning of Postmodern from his book The Postmodern Condition: A Report on Knowledge that he had published in 1979. Lyotard's LifeThis is another biography of Lyotard, but it shows a timelife of what happened throughout his life, from birth to death.

I thought it was interesting how Lyotard strayed away from popular opinion. I also found it interesting that he came up with the term "postmodernism" in the field of philosophy. He appears to be very humble in his work, saying that he makes no claims to being original or true. I agree with parts of his philosophy; I think that science and other things such as ethics tend to clash, but the study of science is more necessary than one's opinionated ethics.

I loved your project! I really like learning about how other people form their opinions and philosophies, and I really enjoyed your project because I got to learn so much about this amazing philosopher and his philosophical philosophies.
