Im doing my project on Francois Hollande. I don't really have a reason why I picked him other than Mrs. Parsons suggested him and he has the same name as me, so here it is. François Gerard Georges Nicolas Hollande is a 59 year old (born August 12th 1954) French politician and current president of the country as well as Co-prince of Andorra under the Socialist Party.
Hollande was born in Rouen in Northern France to an upper-middle class family. mother to a social worker and father to a doctor. and later moved to one of the moving to one of the most exclusive suburbs in town. and enrolling in a catholic private school (right, definitely middle class..) and studied his time in university in America. he had his 1st political experience as a student volunteering in the unsuccessful presidential campaign of François Mitterrand, and joining the socialist party 5 years later.
he has had many positions in the French government such as Deputy of the National Assembly for Corrèze's 1st Constituency from 1997 to 2008, Mayor of Tulle from 2001 to 2008, First Secretary of the Socialist Party from 1997 to 2008, President of the General Council of Corrèze from 2008 to 2012 and currently since 2012 president of France and Co-Prince of Andorra. he has become famous as of late because of his support and legalization of same-sex marriage and well relations with other countries.
here are a few links about him.

I like how this is the first project that I have seen whose person is still alive! I've also noticed how François Hollande wasn't force to go into something he didnt't want to do.
