I'm interested in French desserts so I looked up pastries and this is what I found. www.parispatisseries.com/2011/10/24/the-best-pastries-in-paris-top-38-patisseries/This website has over 30 French pastries and these are not even all of them. There are plenty more that are not listed. I do suggest looking at all of them as they are all different and there is some reading involved but it is well worth it. The ones that I believe I would enjoy most are the Grand Cru and the Tarte au Chocolat. www.youtube.com/watch?v=w-3Y1tS9VvkThe hyperlink above is a video about how to make crème brûlée . This is a famous french dessert that is now by lots of people from many countries. Crème brûlée is not necessarily a french pastry and more of a dessert however I still decided to use this well done video. www.youtube.com/watch?v=x69jR0BrgNE&list=PLBC87C40A1B1958D0The next video is on croissants. These flaky pastries have butter pressed into the dough before it is placed in the oven but after the dough has been made. This way the butter makes the dough light and airy. There are many other types of croissants with all kinds of sugars and creams but this is just a basic one. The chef in the video is speaking french so there is another voice over him but it is still an interesting and I enjoyed watching it.

I have never had a lot of French cuisine in my life, but most of it came in desserts. The best pastries in Paris look good enough to beat the pastries of the world. I looked through the list of the thirty eight different pastries and found myself disappointed with the desserts at my own home - fruits. All of the pastries look pretty and nice to eat, but I would like to try the Pomme Tatin au Sirop d’Érable and the Or Noir. I have never even seen crème brûlée before, let alone know how to make it. I thought it was interesting how simple it was. I never really liked croissants, but I was surprised at how long and tedious it was to make one.

I love food and trying new foods so this was pretty cool. I've tried a few French desserts but definitely want to try more!

What a great collection of absolutely beautiful desserts. I would have loved to do the research myself on that blog so I could have eaten my way through the best of Paris's desserts! Thank you, too, for the video on the creme brulee. I've tried to make it once and it did not turn out how I wanted it to. Next time, I'll be trying the strategy that she used for sugar at the end of the video to see if it works out better for me. Thanks again!
