Ever sense i was really young Ive always been fascinated with the ocean and photography, so i took this project as a great opportunity to research some great french oceanographers. It was with this project i was able to find the well known Jacques Cousteau. About Jacques Cousteau Jacques-Yves Cousteau was a french naval officer, explorer, conservationist, film maker,innovator, scientist, photographer, and author and researcher who studied the sea. Cousteau was also the co-developer of the Aqua-lung, pioneered the marine conservation and was a member of the Academie francaise. Cousteau Website (custodians of the sea) Cousteaus main web page is the website for his organization. This organization was founded to protect and improve the quality of life for present and farther generations. Wow, that video at the end is powerful. Who knew that Cousteau was working on something that really could be compared to space exploration? I would never have thought that things would be so different underwater, like hair growing slower, etc. I also had no idea that Cousteau and his crew did some serious damage to the underwater world, killing a school of sharks and a baby whale. What an interesting project!
