Gustave Caillebotte
Gustave Caillebotte was born on 19 August 1848 to an upper-class Parisian family living in the Faubourg-Saint-Denis. Caillebotte began visiting the studio of painter Léon Bonnat, where he began to study painting seriously. His country scenes at Yerres focus on pleasure boating on the leisurely stream as well as fishing and swimming, and domestic scenes around his country home. Some of his good works, Les jardiniers (1875), Baigneurs (1878), The Yellow Fields at Gennevilliers (1884)
