I am very interested in animation so I decided to search and find out about famous or popular french animated series. To my surprise some the the results that came up for me I was very familiar with from watching them when I was younger on channels like Cartoon Network or Kids WB. In the end not only I learn more about french animation but it also brought up some of my own nostalgia. The first show I remembered watching was called Totally Spies.

The second show was one of the shows created by Marathon Media during the hype of Totally Spies, it's called Martin Mystery. The show was about two high school students, a caveman, and a martian that solve supernatural mysteries together. While this show wasn't as big as Totally Spies it still aired for a good three years. The first link is a clip of the shows opening the second link is a page that talks more about certain specifics about the show.

The third show, not in connection with the first two is called Code Lyoko. This show was produced by Thomas Romain and Tania Palumbo, the shows premise was about four kids in academy that have a double life of fighting in a virtual world. From what I understand about the show was that it was a very big when it was out, not only in France but also internationally. The show was also famous for its unique style of 2d and 3d animation. The first link shows off the series opening and the second link give some of the basic information on the topic.

The last show I researched was a very classic animated series that most older generations would remember, that show would be Inspector Gadget. I personally found this to be the biggest surprise since I used to think that it was an American based cartoon. The plot of the show is basically about inspector Gadget, his niece penny, and dog, brain solving crimes with the use of Inspectors inventions and then defeating Doctor claw's evil schemes. Most would know who the iconic character Inspector Gadget is and even more would have seen his show, so I don't think I need to explain about the shows popularity. the first gives you the main theme and the second link give more information on the series.
