I'm doing my project about basketball in France because my uncle played over in France about 8 years ago. The way he talked about his experience playing in another country made me want to find out more about there way of playing basketball.

This website gave me a lot of information about how France won the euro basketball title. A lot of nba players from France plays on this team like tony Parker who is a big part of the San Antonio spurs. There team is a good team overall. A lot of players go back to there country to play so when the nba season comes up they can be ready and be improved.

This website gave me tons of different rules vs the u.s basketball like in France you can only have two timeouts in the first half and 3 in the second but the nba has 3 time outs both half's and they can choose weather how long there timeout is gonna be. Also in France if a guy from the 2 point range hits the ball of a guy that's shooting a three point shot it counts as a 2 point in the u.s if you shoot at the three point range it counts as a three pointer.

On this website I learned that
Although Dr. James Naismith is recognized for inventing the game of basketball in December 1891, it wasn't until June 18, 1932, in Geneva, Switzerland that an international federation concerned with just basketball was formed.
Then, less than three years later on February 28, 1935, the International Basketball Federation (FIBB) was officially recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) helping clear the way for men's basketball to become part of the 1936 Berlin Summer Olympic Games.Actually, the first international body to claim jurisdiction over the sport of basketball was the International Amateur Athletic Federation (IAAF), which in 1926 formed a special commission.
That's my project about French basketball.
