    I chose to research Marion Cotillard because I have always been interested in acting. I also picked her to research because I know she is really well known in both France and the U.S. so I thought it would be cool to show how far she has come from being in plays by her father to being in films that are very big in the U.S.

Marion Cotillard's Bio:

She is the daughter of Niseema Theillaud, a drama teacher and actress, and Jean-Claude Cotillard, a director, playwriter, and actor. She was raised in Orleans, France where she studies drama at the Conservatoire d'Art Dramatique. Her first acting experience in acting was in one of her father's plays when she was still a child. She made many small appearances in theater and occasionally have small roles on TV shows. Her career as an actress didn't really start until the mid-1990's and didn't really set off until between 2003-2006. She got so famous that she started doing movies in the U.S. like Inception and The Dark Knight Rises. Her career still prospers to this day.

Marion's first cinema debut was when she was a teenager in the film called L' Histoire du garçon qui voulait qu'on l'embrasse. Marion's first larger role to play was in the movie Taxi, which also had a sequel that she was also in. In 2003, Marion had a breakthrough in her career when she starred in the film, Love Me If You Dare. Her first Hollywood movie though was Big Fish, in 2003 which made her even more famous. Though Marion had been in many films, her most known movies would probably be Taxi, Contagion, Inception, and the Dark Knight Rises.

Her first Award she has ever been nominated for and won was for Best New Actress for the Movie Taxi. She has been nominated many other Awards for the films she has been in also. She has also won many other Awards for her films including a Ceasar Award, BAFTA Film Award, BSFC Award, Chopard Trophy, Czech Lion Award, Golden Globe Award, LAFCA Award, an Oscar Award, and many others.  And some of her most recent film awards are an Hollywood film Award and a MTV Movie Award. Marion has won many other awards that are probably not so known to many people. As of right now she has a total of 33 awards.
